In alignment with the WCPSS weather-related decision, all driver education in-person classroom sessions and behind-the-wheel sessions will be on a two-hour delay on Friday, August 9, 2024.
If the Wake County school system closes due to inclement weather, there will be no Driver Education classes or behind-the-wheel lessons held that day. This is true for public schools as well as private schools and home school locations.
When classroom or behind the wheel lessons are canceled, teachers make every effort to contact affected students by phone, email, and through school announcements. Also, we announce closings on the WRAL closures listing.
If Wake County schools are in session, each school office makes announcements regarding after- school activities. If after school activities are canceled at your school, all Driver Education classes and behind-the-wheel lessons are canceled for that day.
